Itinerary in details:

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Son La (-/L/D)

In the morning, tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel around 7:30 – 8:00 and transfer to Son La (330km) On the way, stop over in Mai Chau for taking photos and having lunch.

Continue to Son La, Check in the hotel upon arrival.

Day 2: Son La – Dien Bien (B/L/D)

In the morning, visit French Prison, Son La Ethnology Museum. Then transfer to Dien Bien (160km). On the way, stop for taking photos, visit Tuan Chau Market, Pha Din Pass (1300m).

Have lunch in Tuan Giao and continue to Dien Bien. Check in hotel upon arrival.

Day 3: Dien Bien – Lai Chau (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit the most famous historical sites of Dien Bien including Dien Bien Phu Museum, Colonel Christian de Castries, Muong Thanh airport and Hill A1.

In the afternoon, departure to Lai Chau town (120km). On the way to Lai Chau, visit hill tribes: Black Thai, White Thai, H’mong, Phu La... Arrival in Lai Chau, check in hotel and free time.

Day 4: Lai Chau – Sapa (B/L/D)

Depart for Sapa with a stop for visiting Thai, Red Dzao, Flower H’Mong, and Suspension Bridge. After having lunch in Tam Duong, visit Tram Ton Pass and enjoy the beautiful view of countryside. Arrive in Sapa, check in hotel upon arrival in Sapa. Free time for walking around to discover Sapa town on your own.

Day 5: Sapa – Trekking (B/L/D)

After breakfast, trekking to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages where experience the daily life of the Black H’Mong people.

In the afternoon, come to visit the hydroelectric station built by French people then back to Spa town for dinner and accommodation.

Day 6: Sapa – Can Cau – Bac Ha (cycling) (B/L/D)

Leave Sapa for Can Cau Market, you will have chance to meet almost all ethnic minorities in unique colorful market of Northwest Vietnam.

After visiting can cau Market, continue to Bac Ha. Have lunch and then cycle to visit Ban Pho and H’Mong King’s house (King Hoang A Tuong).

Day 7: Bac Ha – Ba Be Lake  (B/L/D)

In the morning, transfer to Ba Be lake with a stop for taking photos and visiting the minorities. In the afternoon, visit hydroelectricity of ethnic people.

Overnight home-stay in Ba Be.

Day 8: Ba Be Lake  (B/L/D)

A day tour of Ba Be Lake, take a boat on Ba Be Lake, visit Puong grotto, Dau Dang waterfall, Window Islet and swimming. Then trek to Pac Ngoi village and explore the daily life of Tay. Dinner and saty over night at local home in Po Lu village.

Overnight home-stay in Po Lu Village.

Day 9: Ba Be – Cao Bang – Ban Gioc (B/L/D)

In the morning, leave Ba Be for Ban Gioc waterfall. Arrive in Ba Gioc waterfall, at leisure for relaxing, taking photos or swimming.

After lunch, return to Cao Bang, free time at your leisure.

Overnight at hotel in Cao Bang.

Day 10: Cao Bang – Lang Son – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

Morning transfer to Lang Son town. Arrival in Lang Son, visit Tam Thanh, Nhi Thanh caves and then Ky Lua Market.

After lunch, drive to Halong city. Check in hotel upon arrival.

Day 11: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/L/-)

Early in the morning, embark a wooden boat for cruise in Halong Bay (6hours). Visit some magical grottoes and relax in the best scenic beauty of Vietnam: Sung Sot Cave, Titop beach and fishing village. Then the boat stops for kayaking and swimming. Return to Hanoi, visit Dong Trieu ceramic village on the way back. Drop off at your hotel. Tour concluded.
